Preparation is key: extensive coordination with planting team leaders, timely preparation of access roads, and seedlings removed from the nursery soil at the right time, once fully dormant

Planting holes must be deep and wide enough to allow young rootlets to grow, adapting to variable terrain such as rocky soils and steep slopes

Planting season runs from March to November

Monitoring takes place during the summer months

Supported by 2 tree nurseries and 1 greenhouse, run by our local partner, ensuring a steady, locally grown supply of saplings for ongoing planting efforts

Armenia's limited forest coverage leaves the country highly vulnerable to droughts, landslides and forest fires, making forest expansion a national security priority to safeguard future living conditions

Regenerates ecosystems through afforestation projects that fight desertification, combat soil erosion and preserve water resources

Over 3 million trees planted to date, including 17 endemic tree species selected to strengthen local ecological resilience

Empowering local communities through stable jobs and practical skills, from seed collection to forest ranger roles

Employs 70 to 90 seasonal workers and 38 permanent staff, offering both recurring seasonal opportunities and long-term stable positions within the local community

Focus on education and awareness through a dedicated visitor center
