Community event for school kids 🎨

Nusa Penida, Bali, Indonesia
4/30/2025

The shores of Nusa Penida came alive with laughter, learning, and a whole lot of ocean love as we welcomed a group of enthusiastic local school children for a special community event focused on coral conservation and restoration.

The day was all about sparking curiosity and connection with the underwater world. Through interactive sessions led by our team, the kids discovered the vital role that coral reefs play in ocean health, biodiversity, and even local livelihoods. They got hands-on with coral fragments, painted coral structures, learned how restoration works, and asked brilliant questions that showed just how engaged and eager they are to protect their island’s rich marine life.

But the learning didn’t stop there — thanks to a talented painter, the excitement spilled over into colorful expressions of ocean wonder. From bright fish and graceful rays to the large whale shark, the kids wore their favorite sea creatures proudly on their faces and arms. The artwork was not only beautiful but also served as a reminder of the vibrant life we’re all working to protect.

We believe that inspiring the next generation is one of the most powerful things we can do for the planet. The future of our reefs is in good hands — and some very colorfully painted ones at that!
