Weโre pleased to share a positive update on the reforestation project at Isle la Hesse: the preparation work began with mechanical tilling of the planting lines on February 19.
The plantation work was then carried out by a team of professional planters smoothly over three days, from March 7 to March 9, 2025, under favorable weather conditions that supported efficient and uninterrupted operations. In total, 875 trees were planted, exceeding the initial target of 825. All planned species were available in the required sizes and of good quality, and included a mix of native and coniferous trees, with slightly increased numbers for Nordmann and Pectine varieties compared to the original plan. This small adjustment does not affect the balance of the plantation and aligns well with the projectโs ecological goals.
We are satisfied with the outcome of this project, which was completed as intended and now marks the beginning of a new, biodiverse forest patch in Bastogne. A maintenance clearing is already planned to ensure the healthy establishment of the young trees.
