While waiting for the winter report, three updates from the field:

🌪️ While the stormy season kept them from spending much time at sea, our local team in Gansbaai has been anything but idle. Over the past few months, they shifted the focus to land-based angling sessions and snorkelling activities. These efforts not only kept our momentum going but also provided new insights that will be reflected in the upcoming winter report.

👥 Community engagement has also been a big highlight. They recently relaunched the education program for local marine biology students, providing the next generation of ocean stewards with valuable, hands-on field experience. The first session took place this past Saturday, with more to follow over the coming weekends.

🦈 Meanwhile, the campaign against shark nets and drumlines is moving forward with determination - our coalition is growing stronger, and we are now engaging directly with the Minister to demand change.
