We've added an afforestation site to the Armenian project. New funding for Armenia will go to the creation of the Charles Aznavour Forest, created on 100 hectares of land near Dzorashen, in the Shirak region of Armenia. This beautiful highland area features rich volcanic soils, strong natural moisture retention, and open terrain ideally suited for establishing a resilient young forest. These favorable conditions allow us to plant a diverse mix of native species and create a thriving ecosystem that will grow stronger year after year.

The target of our technical partner is to plant 300,000 trees across the 100-hectare site. 8 different tree species are planted, including oak, wild pear, maple, wild apple, birch, pine, and shrubs. 35 families benefit directly or indirectly from these reforestation activities. We will continue supporting this reforestation site until funding for the plot is complete.
