Monitoring update on the Florenville (Muno) project

Belgium
8/26/2026

Located in the Gaume region, the Florenville project reforests neglected land with a diversified mix of chestnut, maple, sessile oak and wild cherry trees after a spruce bark beetle health crisis.

A monitoring visit shows survival rates of 80% to 85%, with a good overall health status. Game damage has affected 15 to 20% of plants depending on the plot.

Several bird species have been heard on the plot, a good early sign for the biodiversity the plantation aims to support!
