A major milestone for community-led agroforestry in the Amazon. Camino Verde has inaugurated its first ever community distillation center in Loreto, marking a new chapter in sustainable rosewood essential oil production. After more than a decade of distilling endangered rosewood oil in CV's own facilities the new community plant puts more power, and more value, directly in the hands of local communities. The center represents a long-term commitment to keeping economic benefits within the communities that are at the heart of forest conservation. By enabling community producers to process and retain more value from their work, we are strengthening both livelihoods and the case for protecting the Amazon's most endangered species.
