Fish survey on the thriving restoration site

Nusa Penida, Bali, Indonesia
10/31/2025

Our latest fish survey at the Nusa Penida coral restoration site shows a vibrant community of marine life making itself at home! Just over two years after planting, our donor and restored patches are buzzing with activity. The survey documented a variety of species, including Butterflyfish, Wrasses, Damselfish, Bannerfish, Trumpetfish, and even the distinctive Slingjaw Wrasse, all exploring and inhabiting the restored structures.

It’s inspiring to see how these structures, once bare, are now becoming living habitats full of color and movement — a powerful reminder that restoration works when nature is given a helping hand.

A big thank-you to our dedicated dive and monitoring team at Nusa Penida for bringing back life to the reef, one coral at a time. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to monitor growth, biodiversity, and reef health in the months ahead.
