On October 15th, My Forest Armenia had the honour of welcoming queen Mathilde to Tsaghkunk for the official inauguration of the Belgian-Armenian Forest. The visit took place as part of her role as United Nations SDG Advocate. The newly created forest of 60 000 trees spans 20 hectares and was made possible through donations from Belgian and Armenian individuals and organisations, including contributions from Go Forest clients.

The visit featured several key activities, including a symbolic tree planting by Queen Mathilde, direct exchanges with local tree planters and a walk through the newly restored site. Her presence underscored the importance of reforestation and long-term ecosystem recovery. Engaged and attentive throughout, she showed a clear interest in the practical realities of the restoration work, making the day especially meaningful for the teams on site.
