Oenocarpus mapora

Oenocarpus mapora is an evergreen palm growing from 5 to 15 meters tall. "Oenocarpus" is a genus of palms commonly known as "Bacaba palms" or "Huasaí palms," and they are found in various parts of South America. These palms are often valued for their fruit, which can be used to produce oils and beverages. As you can see in the picture, the Oenocarpus mapora produces a small cluster of 2 to 12 stems; these stems are unbranched and 4 to 17cm in diameter.
