This month, we had the opportunity to organize a series of consultations with the local community in Boeny, involving over 200 residents. In Boeny, the entire community actively participates in our reforestation projects.
During these meetings, we discussed the needs for the upcoming season, gathered feedback from the residents on last year’s progress, and exchanged ideas on how to improve the next mangrove planting campaign. The discussions also focused on the community’s expectations regarding the socio-economic impacts of the projects, particularly the preservation of marine resources like crabs and shrimp, which are vital for their livelihoods.
These consultations are an essential step in strengthening our participatory approach, where every voice matters and projects are designed to meet the real needs of the community. The groundwork is set for a promising new season, with reinforced commitment from everyone! 🌍
