In Scotland, the team has been back in the water checking on last year's seagrass shoot transplants, which are looking great despite the stormy winter, and marking out the site for the first transplanting trial of 2026. We are delighted to see the wildlife, such as crabs and peacock worms, settling into their new homes!

Following the success of the shoots transplanted in late March last year, we will be transplanting 500 shoots into our restoration area in Dunvullaig Bay this week to see if the season can be extended even earlier, giving us a longer restoration window each year 🌱
