Monitoring conducted in July 2026 shows the Bovigny reforestation, planted between March and April 2025, off to a strong start with a 95% recovery rate and a good overall health status. The 7767 trees, a mix of sessile oak, Douglas fir, Norway spruce and hybrid larch, are replacing a spruce stand previously lost to bark beetle attack.
Some browsing damage from game has affected around 5% of plants, while no weather-related damage has been recorded. Treatment against the pine weevil was applied to protect the young trees, and manual clearing is planned to continue supporting their growth.
A particularly encouraging sign is the natural regeneration of maple already visible in the middle of the plot, which will be retained and allowed to develop alongside the planted trees.
