Spring planting got off to a late start this year. Although our local partner was ready to go in early April, persistent rain and snowfall at higher altitudes pushed back the start of work.

Once conditions improved, planting got underway. Spring is the critical window for pine planting. Because the seedlings go dormant very late, autumn planting is not an option. Favourable soil moisture and moderate temperatures in spring create the ideal conditions for young pines to develop strong root systems.
