In 2025, Go Forest played a major role in Bôndy’s mangrove restoration work, accounting for about 43% of all trees planted. The planting season runs from November to April, a period that brings steady local employment for planting and follow‑up activities.
Across the different sites, 220 people from nearby communities were involved through daily paid work linked to restoration. Women formed an essential part of the team, reflecting their important role in caring for natural resources. Each planting day offered households a direct source of income and a chance to take part in protecting an ecosystem that supports the entire community.
