A special moment has taken place at the La Joya reforestation center. The first rosewood tree has come into flower on this site. The tree is only five and a half years old, which is exceptionally young for rosewood to reach this stage.
Other rosewood trees within the wider Camino Verde network have flowered before, but this is the first time it has happened at the La Joya center, where many Go Forest trees have also been planted. This early flowering is an encouraging sign for the long‑term strength and diversity of the restoration work.
A small bloom that marks real progress.
